Mama's Gotta Eat: Alyssia Webb Birnbaum is the owner and creator of Mama's Gotta Eat, a small business that provides pre-made meals to families in the Dallas area, specializing in food for breastfeeding mothers. Born and raised in the Hawaiian islands to a Japanese mother and Caucasian father, Alyssia uses her blended background to create "white people food" that both her dad and mom are willing to eat and enjoy. She believes that if there's a perfectly good piece of pie in the fridge, and you'd like to eat it for breakfast, you should. For years, doctors have speculated that her blood is actually made of red velvet cake batter. She is a former fat kid, and determined to never allow anyone to feel guilty for loving comfort food, so she set out to design recipes that are indiscernible from the real thing. Her irreverent approach to diet and exercise keeps herself and her family thin enough to be seen in a bathing suit but pleasantly plump enough to fit in perfectly at a burger joint. Her recipes, restaurant reviews, and general foodie knowledge can help you lose weight, be happy, and satisfy your inner fat kid.
